THE FACTS
Led by Heatwise Senior Instructor Libby Nicholaou, this training is designed for yoga teachers, clinicians, and yoga students - all are welcome. The practice can be used in a variety of ways both inside and outside of a studio restorative yoga class setting.
The 25-hour training takes place over 2 weekends in October. Sessions will include practice, lecture, partner work, and group discussion.

The nervous system and anatomy related to rest
The koshas and their role in creating the conditions for rest
How to hold space for cultural stress through a social justice lens led by Tonie Warner
How to skillfully use props to create the conditions for rest in the body

Fridays 8p - 9p: Restorative Yoga class at Park Slope studio
Saturdays 2p - 6p: Heatwise Bowery studio (274 Bowery)
Sundays 2p - 6p: (virtual)
NEED TO KNOW
Includes 25 hours of instruction and Heatwise Certification upon completion of the program
Minimum 6 months of consistent yoga practice required
Attendance is required at all training sessions
Missed hours must be made up in accordance with our make-up policy and will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Trainees must commit to a 40-day restorative practice on their own (outside of scheduled group sessions)
