Ethan’s Perfect Day in Brooklyn

Favorite way to start the day?

My day starts with a Matcha Latte or Herbal tea. I really enjoy the ritual of making a Matcha, adding in additional herbal goodness into the mix. Once I’ve got my hot beverage I make my way to my meditation corner and sit for at least 15 minutes of gratitude. This might extend into a quick yoga practice or light stretching depending on how the body feels.

Go to breakfast?

I’m off of coffee so it either starts with the Matcha or Herbal tea. My breakfast (break-fast) technically is just the first meal of the day. Our bodies are designed to wake up and forage so I try to hold off a full meal until at least 11am. Indulgent days involve running down to Smith St. Bagels for an everything with butter.

Ideal Morning?

Hopping on my bike and riding through Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, and into Red Hook and grabbing a chocolate covered Key Lime pie at Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pies (So Good!). Then I ride that Key Lime fuel through Brooklyn Bridge Park to get the best site line of lower Manhattan.

What’s for lunch?

Late Lunch with friends at 5ive Spice Tacos & Banh Mi. The Pho is incredible!

Any afternoon plans?

Head home for a quick cat nap, then off to Heatwise for a nice long sweat.

Perfect evening?

Late dinner in the back garden at Gersi in Carroll Gardens (weather permitting). Perfect end to the night is back at home with my wife, sitting on our Juliette balcony with a nightcap.
